This is a creek we pass on our Baltimore trips and I thought it looked so pretty all covered in snow. Also if you look closely toward the left is a tree that's completly bent over. It looks really cool up close.
This is a factory we pass on the way to and from Baltimore. My son calls it the Wonka factory and asks everytime we pass it when we can go in for a tour. I keep telling him he needs a golden ticket!
This is sort of a inside joke in our family, but it made me laugh so hard that it just had to be today's picture. A few years ago when we were headed to Hoss's for dinner my husband said he'd probably just get the fish sandwich and my stunning reply was, "That sandwich is huge! It's as big as a real fish..." I still get made fun of for that one and now and even bigger fish sandwich is on the way! It's too much!
Today as we drove home I watched as dark clouds rolled by and dumped snow squalls. It would last for about five minutes and then the skies would be bright and sunny again as if nothing had ever happened.
This beautiful house always catches my attention when we drive through the city. It seems kind of out of place, even with some of the other pretty houses nearby.
We stopped in Petco tonight and the kids wanted to look at the birds. I personally hate birds, but these two parakeets were the prettiest colors I had ever seen. The picture does not do justice to how vibrant these birds were.
The sickness continued in our lovely home today - with my daughter as the latest victim and myself on the verge. So instead of preparing a big meal we opted for McDonald's carry-out. Our local McDonald's has had crazy promotions all month long to premote the Grand Re-Opening. Today was 29 cent Hamburgers and 39 cent cheeseburgers. We took a couple of each!
My kids and I stopped at a local farm today and the goats were so funny because they all came running from where they were on the other side of the pen and just stared at us. Then this goose came up to the car and was honking and following us. We had to get in on the passenger side and pull away very slowly so we wouldn't run it over!
You can usually tell when I have traveled to playgroup because my pictures are of livestock. With the beautiful weather change we've had, I had many animal groupings to choose from along the way, but I really liked this little group of cows with the horse kind of on his own. Made me laugh a little.
A pair of birds have recently begun to hang out on our deck in the afternoon. They usually show up around lunch time. One flew away as I went to get the picture but this one stuck around long enough for her close-up! You have to look closely because she sort of blends in but she is on the corner just above the bell.
Friday was my brother's birthday and we went out Saturday to celebrate. This would have been a nice picture except for the baby looking off to the side. It was taken on the Cracker Barrel rocking chairs before dinner.
My awesome husband surprised me with tickets to Avenue Q tonight. Never one to do anything without a production...he created this folder and had it in a box for me to open. He is so creative! It made my night and I can't wait to see the show!
So it's become a tradition since moving here 3 years ago that the kids get up early with my husband and go see our local groundhog on Groundhog's Day. They do a little ceremony in the park and then give out tickets to a dinner for later that day. The kids love it! Here are they are on their way into dinner.
This is a scary guy I see sometimes when I am out & about. The family changes his clothes and messages periodically, but the skull face remains year round. I find it especially freaky when driving by at night. Weird!
